Education Program Manager

Position Title: Education Program Manager

Reports to: Director, National Resource Center on ADHD and the Chief Operating Officer

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Description:

The primary responsibility of the Education Program Manager at CHADD is to develop, manage and implement education and training materials and programs to improve the lives of children, teens and adults with ADHD, their families and the professionals who work with them.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor issues affecting the ADHD community including families/caregivers, health care providers, educators, and adults with ADHD and recommend new educational strategies responsive to their needs.
  • Identify, develop, and implement new modes of training such as online classes, training videos, and learning management systems.
  • Develop and manage CHADD’s National Resource Center’s strategic annual education and training plan based on the approved CDC Work Plan and the educational and training needs of the targeted audiences.
    • Work with the marketing department to develop marketing lists, identify target audiences and create a marketing plan for the education and training programs.
    • Manage all educational webcasts for the targeted audiences: parents and caregivers, mental health professionals, and educators.
    • Monitor progress and evaluate the success of all education and training programs. Compile statistics and develops reports, as needed.
  • Manage project objectives for educational programs sponsored by donors. Educational programs could include in-person training, webinars, on-demand education programs, or creation of other educational materials.
    • Meet with donors to clarify the specific requirements of each project
    • Develop a project plan to monitor and track progress
    • Coordinate with other staff members and external subject matter experts to execute projects
    • Manage the relationship with donors and all stakeholders
    • Track project performance and create reports for donors
  • Develop educational and training content for professionals (educators, mental health providers, ADHD coaches, among others), adults with ADHD, and educators by working closely with ADHD experts and staff.
  • Work closely with staff in the development of dissemination content: fact sheets, toolkits, short video clips, and website content, among others.
  • Assist with other duties as needed/assigned, such as attending CHADD’s International conference on ADHD, representing the organization at community events, health fairs or similar events, working on new initiatives, to name a few. These additional responsibilities will be assessed for time availability.

Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Development, implementation, and management of educational programs and services.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with staff and diverse audiences with a high level of diplomacy and effectiveness
  • Demonstrated competence in online and in-service training development
  • Experience in evaluating program results
  • Detail oriented and proven organizational skills and analytical abilities.
  • Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Some travel and/overtime is required

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Public Health Education, Health / Information Sciences, Rehabilitation Services, Social Work or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ experience creating, implementing, and managing educational programs in the nonprofit sector.
